Is this not the most beautiful and unique nativity scene you’ve ever seen? This is hands down one of the best gifts I’ve ever received. It has me feeling nostalgic. These little canvases were painted by my childhood friend Amy. We were more than best friends, we were sisters, indeed. Even then, I knew in the spirit what I know now that her heart was pure gold, and she shined bright. That’s why it broke my heart when she moved away in 1st grade. My first loss. Only it wasn’t as much of a loss as I thought it was because we wrote to each other for years after, and we are still in touch to this day almost 35 years later. I’m not surprised she became such a talented artist. Not even a little.

To my dear friend, thank you for such a precious gift. My heart is with you, and I am thankful for your friendship and our deep connection over the years. You’re still a sister to me. To the rest of my friends, I hope you enjoy this scene as much as I do.
